Phee Baker, LAc, AEMP

Phee is a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist interested in treating patients at their pace, for whatever they would like to work on. Particular areas of treatment experience include injury rehabilitation, life transitions support, gastrointestinal disorders, gender affirming surgery pre- and post-op care, menstrual regulation and other gynecological complaints, psychoemotional disorders, insomnia, acute illness, and pain. It is Phee’s great honor to collaborate with patients in their care, and they value honesty and presence within patient relationships.

Before acupuncture, Phee primarily worked as a barista and women’s health healthcare assistant until their Chinese language study led them to acupuncture. In acupuncture practice Phee utilizes Engaging Vitality, channel theory, myofascial release, and various other palpation-forward treatment methods, perpetually in awe of the body’s non-verbal communication.

Phee received their Master’s in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine from Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine in Georgetown, Seattle, WA, where they still work as the Herbal Dispensary Assistant Manager and as a student tutor. They are NCCAOM certified. Phee’s BA in Chinese Language & Literature and International Studies: Asia from the University of Washington nurtured a deep respect and curiosity for Chinese language. The nuance and creative expression they cultivated through language study is reflected in their assessment and treatment of patients with acupuncture.

When not elbow-deep in Chinese herbs or slowly working through Chinese medicine source texts, you can find Phee biking through the city, going on meandering walks through Seattle neighborhoods with their dog Brucie, or plating a beautiful meal for friends.
